About the Role CarHarbor is a Web3-powered digital car marketplace built by DeLorean Labs, bringing digital vehicle ownership, escrow-protected transactions, and tokenized automotive assets on-chain. As Technical Lead, you will own the technical direction across the frontend, backend, and Web3 tracks — guiding implementation decisions, unblocking engineers, and turning product requirements into scalable, secure systems. What You'll Do Define and evolve the end-to-end architecture across the web app, API layer, and Web3 modules. Align data flow between the UI, APIs, and on-chain/off-chain ownership state. Lead and mentor frontend, backend, and Web3 engineers through planning, implementation, and review. Set coding standards, PR quality expectations, and release readiness criteria. Break roadmap goals into executable technical milestones and manage cross-team dependencies. Harden security across authentication, token flows, configuration, and API boundaries. Own the testing strategy and drive the platform from MVP scaffolding to production-grade architecture. What We're Looking For 6+ years in software engineering, with prior Technical Lead or Staff-level ownership. Strong production experience with TypeScript, React-based frontends, and Node.js backend services. Solid grasp of API design, authentication/authorization, and security best practices. Experience designing and operating scalable distributed systems. A hands-on approach to code review, mentoring, and cross-functional execution. Nice to Have Web3 experience: wallet integration, smart-contract interaction patterns, escrow or transaction flows. Familiarity with Fastify (or similar), Redis, and production observability workflows. Background in marketplaces, fintech, or other transaction-heavy products. Good to Know Compensation is negotiable based on experience. Full-time preferred; part-time possible for the right candidate.
