Engineering Director — Central Platform

Our flagship ecosystem combines a compliant, security-first crypto exchange serving both retail and institutional clients, alongside a Debit Card that enables everyday spending and smooth bridging between fiat and digital assets, supported by core capabilities such as spot trading and yield generation products. Role Overview Own the technical strategy and team management for ABF Central-Hub platform systems including Asset Services, Capital Network, User Systems, Compliance & KYC, and Growth. Report directly to the CTO. Responsibilities • Define the technical roadmap and architectural evolution for the central platform; • Build and manage a 20+ person backend engineering team across capital, asset, compliance, user, and growth modules; • Drive AI-powered engineering efficiency, continuously improving productivity and delivery quality; • Cross-functional collaboration (Product, Business, Compliance) to translate requirements into shipped solutions; • Establish engineering standards and culture: Code Review, testing strategy, SLA, On-Call; • Own hiring, team development, and performance management. Requirements • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or related field; • 10+ years of backend development, 5+ years managing engineering teams (10+ engineers); • Proficient in Go or Java with large-scale distributed system architecture design capability; • Cross-module, cross-team technical decision-making and execution ability; • Hands-on experience with Claude Code, with proven practice embedding it into engineering workflows; • Fluent in both Chinese and English (working languages); • Location: US-based, On-site. Nice-to-Haves • Platform/central-hub team management at a crypto exchange or FinTech company; • Familiarity with multi-chain blockchain ecosystems and on-chain asset processing; • Architecture or management experience with financial-grade systems (deposit/withdrawal, compliance, KYC/AML); • Experience building teams from scratch or post-M&A technical integration.
