Lead Backend Engineer — Asset Services (Java)

Our flagship ecosystem combines a compliant, security-first crypto exchange serving both retail and institutional clients, alongside a Debit Card that enables everyday spending and smooth bridging between fiat and digital assets, supported by core capabilities such as spot trading and yield generation products. Role Overview Responsible for architecture design and high-performance development of core asset service systems including UTA (Unified Trading Account), asset views, lending, instant conversion, and clearing & settlement. Responsibilities • Design, develop, and optimize the UTA account system, lending engine, instant conversion, and clearing & settlement services; • Design and optimize complex margin calculation engines, ensuring computational precision and response latency under high-concurrency scenarios; • Analyze system bottlenecks and continuously optimize throughput and latency on critical paths; • Explore cutting-edge technologies and solutions to strengthen technical capabilities. Requirements • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or a related field; • 5+ years of backend development experience, with 2+ years of Java architecture experience; • Expert-level Java skills, including JVM tuning, IO models, multithreading, and concurrency frameworks; • Proficient in Spring Boot / Spring Cloud and ORM frameworks such as MyBatis; • Proven ability to design and develop high-performance systems, with hands-on experience in low-latency, high-throughput environments; • Familiar with distributed systems; proficient in Kafka, gRPC and other mainstream middleware, with understanding of underlying principles; • Proficient in MySQL with deep understanding of transactions, locks, indexing, and sharding; • Hands-on experience with Claude Code for AI-driven development; • Strong logical thinking and business comprehension skills; good coding habits with clear structure and naming conventions; • Docker and Kubernetes experience preferred. Nice-to-Haves • Experience developing asset account systems, clearing & settlement, or lending systems at a crypto exchange; • Experience building financial-grade high-performance systems (matching engines, margin calculation, etc.); • Hands-on experience with JVM tuning and SQL optimization.
