Management Trainee — Trading Products
About the Role ABF is building a compliance-first crypto trading platform for the US retail market, backed by bank-grade infrastructure. You'll work directly under the Trading Product Lead across our core retail products — Spot, Convert, Earn (staking & yield), and Derivatives in future— owning real workstreams from day one: this is a training seat with production responsibilities, not a shadowing program. What You'll Do Product execution: Draft and maintain product documentation (PRDs, field-level specs, user flows) for Spot, Convert, Earn and Derivative features; track open items through design, development, QA and launch Competitive intelligence: Run structured scans of competitor US retail platforms — pricing, spreads, yield rates, new product launches — and turn them into weekly briefs with a clear “so-what” for our roadmap Data & metrics: Track product funnels (registration → first trade, quote → execution), volume and yield economics; help maintain the trading dashboard and flag anomalies QA & testing: Write and execute test cases for user-facing flows (trade confirmations, subscription/redemption, notifications) — precision at the field level matters here Partner & compliance support: Help prepare materials for banking-partner product reviews; learn to write user-facing copy that survives US compliance review Yield operations: Monitor staking APY boards, validator queue timing, and competitor Earn rates against our pricing Must-Haves You trade crypto with your own money — spot AND derivatives. Real, hands-on experience trading spot on major exchanges plus perpetuals/futures: you understand funding rates, leverage, margin modes (cross vs. isolated), and liquidation mechanics because you've managed positions through them. You've also used convert/instant-swap, staking or earn products, and DCA plans — and you can walk us through your own trading history and what it taught you Fully bilingual — fluent English AND Mandarin, spoken and written. You can hold your own on a live English call with US banking partners — asking and answering questions in real time, not just following along — draft documentation in compliance-grade English, and switch to Mandarin with the development team in the same hour. This team works across both worlds every day; translation lag is not an option Product management fundamentals: You understand how product work actually gets done — structured requirements (PRDs, user stories), edge-case thinking, working with designers and engineers, and making prioritization trade-offs. Show us through a PM internship, a campus or side project you shipped, or product teardowns you can walk through Exchange mechanics fluency: You can explain the difference between an order book and RFQ pricing, why a convert quote has a countdown, how funding keeps a perp anchored to spot, and where staking yield actually comes from Analytical rigor: Comfortable with Excel/Sheets; you sanity-check numbers by instinct. SQL/Python a plus Detail obsession: Our products go through bank-partner and compliance review — “roughly right” doesn't ship 0–2 years experience; strong fresh graduates welcome (this is a management trainee track) Nice-to-Haves Web3 & on-chain experience: self-custody wallets, DeFi hands-on (lending/staking on Aave, Morpho, Kamino, Lido etc.), on-chain earn/looping strategies, bridging across chains, reading on-chain data. Familiarity with the US crypto regulatory landscape at a working level (GENIUS Act, market-structure debate) Prior internship at an exchange, brokerage, fintech, or trading desk Experience writing test cases or working with QA What You'll Get Full product lifecycle exposure in your first year: from PRD to bank-partner review to production launch on a US retail customer-facing platform Direct mentorship from the Trading Product Lead; visibility to BU leadership through weekly syncs A front-row seat to the most interesting build in crypto right now: a US-regulated retail exchange during the industry's regulatory turning point
