Risk Head
Role Overview The Risk Head is responsible for building and leading ABFinance’s group-level risk control framework, covering fraud risk, trading risk, and platform risk. This role ensures that risk is identified early, measured accurately, and controlled effectively, while enabling business growth in a compliant and sustainable manner. Key Responsibilities Own and define the group-wide risk control strategy and framework, aligned with business growth and regulatory requirements. Lead and manage multiple risk functions, including Fraud Prevention, Trading Risk, and Platform Risk. Establish and oversee risk policies, methodologies, thresholds, and escalation mechanisms across the group. Partner closely with Technology, Product, Compliance, and Operations to embed risk control into systems and processes. Ensure effective risk monitoring, incident response, and post-event analysis for major risk events. Drive the development and application of risk models, tools, and automation, improving accuracy and efficiency. Act as the key risk representative in management discussions, providing clear, data-driven risk assessments and recommendations. What We’re Looking For Proven experience in risk control, risk management, or risk governance within fintech, trading, payments, or financial services. Strong understanding of fraud risk, trading/market risk, and platform/system risk. Ability to balance risk control and business enablement, rather than acting as a pure blocker. Clear, structured thinking with strong judgment under pressure. Exposure to regulated or multi-jurisdiction environments. Background working closely with senior leadership or founders.
