Software QA Tester

As we scale, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Software QA Tester to ensure the stability, reliability, and quality of our products. The Role We are seeking a Software QA Tester to join our product and engineering team. You will be responsible for testing, validating, and ensuring the overall quality of AllScale’s web and mobile applications—including our invoicing, payment, and payroll systems. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about product quality, automation, and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with developers, designers, and product managers to identify issues early, streamline testing processes, and deliver a best-in-class user experience. Key Responsibilities Test Planning & Execution: Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new and existing features across web and mobile platforms. Bug Tracking & Reporting: Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution and regression testing. Automation: Contribute to building and maintaining automated testing frameworks for frontend and backend systems using modern tools (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, or similar). Release Validation: Perform end-to-end validation during staging and production releases to ensure smooth deployments and high-quality product releases. Cross-Browser & Device Testing: Validate UI/UX consistency, performance, and functionality across browsers and devices. Collaboration: Partner with the product and engineering teams to refine acceptance criteria, identify edge cases, and ensure product reliability before launch. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to QA best practices, documentation, and process automation to improve testing efficiency and product stability. User-Centric Feedback: Communicate user-impacting issues clearly and provide actionable insights that improve usability and performance. Requirements 1+ years of experience as a Software QA Tester, QA Engineer, or Quality Analyst in a product or SaaS environment. Strong understanding of QA methodologies, software testing life cycle (STLC), and bug life cycle. Hands-on experience with manual testing, regression testing, and API testing (Postman, Swagger, etc.) Familiarity with test automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar frameworks is a plus. Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and issue tracking systems like Jira or Linear is a plus. Basic understanding of frontend and backend technologies (React, GraphQL, REST APIs). Excellent attention to detail, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently in a remote-first startup environment, managing priorities and deadlines efficiently. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience testing fintech, crypto, or payment products. Familiarity with smart contract testing and blockchain-based applications. Experience with load testing or performance testing tools (e.g., k6, Locust). Exposure to security testing or compliance-based testing standards.
