Audio Transcription Specialist

About the job You will listen to Portuguese audio and transcribe it into clear written text, identify and label speakers, apply correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation, and follow the provided formatting style. You will handle natural speech including overlapping talk and varying accents, proofread your own work for accuracy, and meet reasonable turnaround times. This is a 100% remote freelance role with ongoing project work and calibration before production. Responsibilities Listen to Portuguese audio and transcribe it into clear written text Identify and label the different speakers and structure the dialogue Apply correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation following the style guide Handle natural speech including overlapping talk and varying accents Proofread your own work to ensure accuracy and readability Meet turnaround times on the audio assigned to you Requirements Native or near-native fluency in Portuguese (Mozambique) Strong written Portuguese grammar spelling and punctuation A good ear for different accents and varying audio quality Able to work independently manage your own time and meet deadlines Reliable computer and internet connection No prior transcription experience required
