Backend Development Intern — Workflow Ticketing Platform
Responsibilities Participate in the design, development, and optimization of a high-performance, highly available workflow platform based on Camunda. Support the integration, secondary development, and API design of the Camunda workflow engine. Use Java / Spring Boot to develop workflow-related backend services, including process definition deployment, task processing, workflow approval logic, and historical data queries. Write efficient, reliable, and maintainable code, and participate in unit testing and integration testing. Assist in database design and performance optimization, mainly using MySQL or similar relational databases. Ensure smooth integration between frontend pages and backend RESTful APIs, including data interaction, interface debugging, and issue troubleshooting. Work closely with senior engineers on code reviews, technical discussions, solution design, and system optimization. Quickly understand business requirements and translate them into practical technical implementations. Requirements Current undergraduate or graduate student majoring in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields. Solid foundation in Java and object-oriented programming. Practical experience with Spring / Spring Boot, either through projects, internships, coursework, or personal development. Basic understanding of backend development, RESTful APIs, databases, and common engineering practices. Familiarity with MySQL and basic database design; experience with SQL performance optimization is a plus. Strong learning ability, problem-solving skills, and passion for backend technologies. Able to work under certain pressure and maintain high standards for code quality. Good communication skills and teamwork spirit. Nice to Have Experience with Java-related commercial projects. Understanding of workflow engines, BPMN, or workflow system design. Familiarity with microservices, high-concurrency systems, database sharding, or large-scale storage. Experience with enterprise-level open-source projects or backend platform development.
