Role Overview As CTO, you will be the ultimate owner of Bybit’s technology vision, architecture, and delivery across all core platforms, including trading systems, infrastructure, and user-facing products. You will lead and scale a global engineering organization, partner closely with executive leadership, and ensure that all systems are secure, ultra-low latency, highly scalable, and compliant with global regulatory standards. This role requires both strategic leadership and deep technical judgment. You are expected to drive architectural direction while staying grounded in execution and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Technology Vision & Architecture Define and own Bybit’s global technology vision, architecture, and long-term technical roadmap Lead the design of high-performance, low-latency trading systems and scalable infrastructure Ensure systems are built for reliability, security, and global scale Engineering Leadership Lead, scale, and structure a global engineering organization across multiple regions Build and manage senior engineering leaders and specialized technical teams Establish a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, quality, and execution Platform Stability & Delivery Ensure high-quality, stable, and timely delivery of all core platforms and products Drive operational excellence across system uptime, incident management, and performance Oversee infrastructure, DevOps, and platform engineering capabilities Security & Compliance Ensure best-in-class security practices across all systems, including asset protection and user data Partner with Compliance and Legal teams to meet global regulatory requirements Lead system audits, risk controls, and security frameworks Cross-functional Partnership Partner closely with CEO, Product, Compliance, and Business teams to translate strategy into execution Align technical priorities with business growth and global expansion plans What We’re Looking For Proven experience as CTO, VP Engineering, or Head of Engineering in a high-growth tech, fintech, or crypto company Strong expertise in large-scale system architecture, ideally in trading systems, exchanges, or financial infrastructure Deep understanding of low-latency systems, distributed architecture, and high-availability platforms Demonstrated ability to build and lead large, globally distributed engineering teams Strong experience in system scalability, reliability, security, and data architecture Experience in regulated environments and working closely with compliance frameworks Hands-on technical background with strong architectural judgment Strong ownership mindset with the ability to operate in fast-paced, high-growth environments Preferred Qualifications Experience building or scaling a crypto exchange or trading platform Familiarity with custody, wallet systems, and digital asset security Experience managing systems at millions of users / high transaction volumes Prior involvement in regulatory audits and security certifications
