Datacenter Technician I
Description You will ensure 24x7 continuous operation and security of critical infrastructure by performing routine and preventive maintenance, repairs, and refurbishments. You will monitor mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems, use internal software to track and diagnose hardware, and coordinate with onsite teams and vendors. You will obtain and maintain required equipment certifications, perform basic network troubleshooting and installations, and lift and move equipment up to 55 lbs. Expect up to 10% travel and to perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Technical degree in information technology or equivalent certifications and job experience 1+ years of experience in a critical infrastructure environment Comfortable working with a team in a 24x7 operating environment Experience with electrical troubleshooting, HVAC, plumbing, construction, security, and fire protection preferred Experience with IT infrastructure maintenance desired but can be acquired Responsibilities Maintain, construct, repair, and refurbish facilities and equipment Implement policies and procedures to ensure optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and equipment Monitor daily building operations of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems Track and manage work orders for quality, adherence to service standards, and budget guidelines Obtain and maintain certifications to operate equipment such as forklifts and personal lifts Communicate effectively with interdepartmental staff Communicate with third-party partners and vendors as required Protect sensitive and confidential information Use ladders, step stools, power tools, and hand tools as required Use internal software to track, record, communicate, diagnose, and operate hardware Perform basic network troubleshooting, management, and installation Lift and move equipment up to 55 lbs Perform other duties as assigned Benefits Unlimited PTO after the first 90 days of employment Option for 100% employer-paid medical, dental, vision, life, short-term, and long-term disability coverage for employee and eligible dependents (effective the 1st day of the month following date of hire) Additional coverage options including hospital insurance, critical illness coverage, and accident insurance 401(k) option with 5% company match Technology stipend 12 weeks of paid maternity, paternity, and adoption leave
