Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Fraud Prevention Risk Lead to build and lead fraud risk strategy for our US market. This role is critical to our launch readiness and will focus on ACH payments, retail fraud prevention, and regulatory-aligned risk controls. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving fraud detection and prevention systems, working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliance with US regulations. Key Responsibilities 1. US Payments Fraud Risk Strategy Design and implement fraud prevention strategies for US payment rails, especially ACH Identify and mitigate risks related to retail payments, account abuse, and transaction fraud Build scalable fraud detection frameworks across onboarding, transactions, and withdrawals 2. Fraud Operations & Case Analysis Analyze fraud cases, identify patterns, and reconstruct attack flows Translate insights into actionable prevention rules, models, and operational processes Optimize review workflows to improve efficiency and reduce false positives 3. Monitoring & Early Warning Systems Build and manage fraud monitoring systems and early warning mechanisms Track key metrics such as fraud rate, loss rate, detection accuracy, and operational efficiency Continuously refine strategies based on data and evolving fraud trends 4. Compliance & Regulatory Alignment Ensure fraud prevention processes align with US regulations (e.g. Regulation E) Partner closely with Compliance, Legal, and Anchorage to implement compliant operational frameworks Support audit and regulatory requirements related to fraud risk 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Compliance teams Embed fraud controls into product design, user flows, and system architecture Act as a key stakeholder in new product launches and feature rollouts Requirements 5–10+ years of experience in fraud risk, payments risk, or financial risk management Strong hands-on experience with US payment systems, especially ACH Deep understanding of US retail fraud patterns and risk control methodologies Familiarity with US regulatory frameworks (e.g. Regulation E) Proven ability to design and implement fraud prevention strategies and systems Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in tools such as SQL, Excel, or data platforms Experience working in fintech, banking, or regulated financial environments Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
